WHISPERWORLD · OPEN BETA

PRIVACY & DATA

This notice explains the information used to operate your beta account and save your place in a world.

Playing as a guest

No account is needed. A secure cookie identifies your guest player in this browser for up to one year. We save your progress and, where the experience asks for them, your name and inventory. Returning in the same browser restores that guest profile. Clearing cookies, using private browsing or changing device starts a separate guest profile. Guest progress is not transferred when you sign in to an existing account. Clearing cookies does not delete records already stored by the app.

What is saved

Your sign-in and profile details, account identifier, security/session information and story progress may be stored. Depending on how you sign in, this can include your email address, name and profile image.

How it is used

This information is used to authenticate you, protect your account, operate and improve the open beta, and let you continue your story on another device. Your account details will not be used for marketing.

Voice commands

Voice input controls the experience. Whisperworld does not record or retain your microphone audio or command transcripts. Your browser or speech-recognition provider may process voice input under its own terms.

Service providers

Clerk provides account authentication and Cloudflare provides application hosting, database and audio storage. These services process the information needed to provide their functions.

Retention and control

Beta account and progress information is retained while it is needed to provide the service, maintain security and evaluate the beta. You can manage your sign-in profile from the player account menu. Data-handling arrangements may be updated before the full public launch.
